Structural Rehabilitation, Retrofitting & Strengthening

The company is specialized in providing remedial solutions to some of the following problems which occurs in the building due to ageing and other factors:

• Specialize into extension of existing building.

• Spalling & delamination of concrete of visible cracks / chipping of concrete.

• Fire damaged to concrete / steel reinforcement bars.

• Corrosion of steel reinforcement bars • Unequal settlement of foundations

• Damaged to wooden beam, columns, and trusses by termite.

• Cracks in masonry walls, columns, trusses by termite.

• Settlement (partial) of slabs, beams • Bulging / leaning of columns.

• Dampness / leakages in terrace and toilets. • Waterproofing

The aforesaid problems are duly taken care by the Company’s experience technical team who generally adopt the following methods :

CARBON FIBER STRENGTHENING SYSTEMS

Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) systems are simply defined as highstrength and lightweight reinforcements created by combining carbon (CFRP) or E-glass fibers with a polymer material (epoxy). The performance characteristics of FRP strengthening have become increasingly popular in construction and retrofit applications, specifically in aging, damaged, deteriorating or overloaded concrete structures.

Epoxy injection

Epoxy injection is an economical method of repairing non-moving cracks in concrete walls, slabs, columns and piers and is capable of restoring the concrete to its pre-cracked strength. Prior to doing any injection it is necessary to determine the cause of the crack. If the source of cracking has not been determined and remedied, the concrete may crack again.

FRP Composite System - PT and Non-PT

Fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibres. The fibres are usually glass, carbon, or aramid, although other fibres such as paper or wood or asbestos have been sometimes used. The polymer is usually an epoxy, vinylester or polyester thermosetting plastic, and phenol formaldehyde resins are still in use. FRPs are commonly used in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and construction industries.
